That's right!  The snow we've been waiting for seems to finally be here.  We've received upwards of 8" in the last day or so, and we're supposed to get close to doubling that in the next day.  Horseshoe re-opened today for some nice soft snow, steep skiing.  Patrol dropped the rope on the lower side of West Wall this morning and opened the whole thing this afternoon.  There are still some shark's teeth out there, so be careful, but the skiing at Crested Butte is getting great in a hurry!  The backcountry is getting pounded as we speak (they usually get two to three times what the resort gets).  Don't forget to check out the Crested Butte Backcountry report for daily updates (updated by 6:30am everyday) at: http://www.cbavalanchecenter.org/
